These days it can be a bit tricky to  find a jacket. I usually wear my mac for the weekdays when going to work, but don’t want to feel like I am still going for work at the weekend. After all, macs a bit serious item unless you go with wild colours or patterns.

I believe this leather jacket answers all my questions. First, it’s not black, but is instead a lovely and warm beige. I love the colour, which can be worn with any colour and style. It looks good with jeans and dresses or skirts (even flowery ones)  and even though it’s a leather jacket it can be worn with summery shoes such as flat or heeled sandals. Since I always look for lovely details, I like the stand up collar, the stitching details on the shoulders, and the front metal zip framed with the stitching as well as the sleeve zips.

When it’s getting warmer in spring and the summer is starting to show around the corner, I really love the look of combining a leather jacket with a simple skirt and sandals, which I love as a relaxed, summery urban look.

80′s came back

March 10, 2011

When I was a young girl, I loved the 70′s style, but never liked the 80′s style. I was also aware that in fashion everything comes back in cycles, so I was afraid that I would again see the 80′s style when I became a young woman. Now I am no longer a teenager, and the 80′s are finally back – and I just love it! Because I have realized that most of the 80′s clothing is sexy – like pointy high heels, baggy clothing which still have a defined waist, and of course the animal print. Actually, I believe that animal print is one of the sexiest invention in the fashion.

I came across this lovely one shoulder dress, which has lovely details like the pleat in front, while also showing the waist in a very elegant way.I also loved, the one shoulder look which is easier to carry, compared to a strapless dress, but still showing off the shoulder. The dress has a wonderful contrast of the fierce animal look combined with a light and free flowing material.

I believe shoes are the most important fashion accessory. They can change the look in many ways, like from casual to smart evening wear or innocent look to sexy look. One of the wardrobe essentials is matching shoes and handbags. They always complete the look, and it’s nice to have them in your wardrobe for emergencies like when you can not find anything to wear, or you have short notice for going out. This lovely grey suede shoes caught my eye. – I confess it was a love at first sight. They are called Samantha, which means “heard by God”. Ahhh and yes they are. They have a unique funky but somehow still elegant look. You have  twist of feelings when you look at these shoes, like the twist on the front knot. I believe the low and deep cut will show your ankle much thinner, meaning nice and longer looking pins.

The best part is that these shoes come with a matching clutch which looks very simple and completes the look. However, the clutch bag has a slightly bigger looking knot and is finished off with a metal lock. Another good point is that this clutch bag has the perfect size, as it is not too small nor too big, so you don’t have to ask your boyfriend to carry the mobile while not either making you look like you are carrying a suitcase. Just like the shoes, this clutch bag can be used for multiple occasions, making me love it even more.

We are in the middle of February and I feel like spring will start early this year since we have had a few sunny afternoons.  I can not wait to swap my heavy coat to something lighter.  After looking around for something with a WOW factor, I found this lovely cardigan which maybe should be called a “multiple task magic cardigan“.

The cardigan can be worn to work looking like a dress, which looks nice to wear with a matching belt and shoes. You can also wear the cardigan  with jeans and accessories such as a thick belt and necklace for a sophisticated casual weekend looking.  Another way is, wear with colourful and funky tights and complete the look with  mild heels or pumps . I can actually  wear it as a short cardigan, simply  tying the front of it. Of course, you can also wear it as a cardigan in the nice sunny spring days…

I just love the details on the sleeves, where you can adjust the length and wear bangles to highlight these clever details. I believe this cardiress ( cardigaṇ̣+ ̣dress ) is one of the wardrobe essentials……

Friday Night Out

February 11, 2011

It’s another Friday, and like usual at the end of a work week I am going out with my friends in the evening. However, as you know, it is difficult to decide what to wear in the morning – especially getting dressed for both work and party. Like almost anyone, I don´t want to go home  after work to change before meeting my friends, and  I do not want to go to work looking like a party animal.

Anyway,  I found this perfect skirt from Esprit, where I just love every little detail, with crepe chiffon at the bottom  (which is so feminine), pockets softening up  the look and making the skirt look so chic – and as a bonus you can wear the belt for an effortless look in the office when tying it in the front, or at the back as a bow for the evenings.

All I need now is a nice and sexy top and a cardigan or blazer to cover up during office hours, so that after 5:30 I can simply take off the cardigan and swap from my office shoes to the high heels….

Ta Ta! I am ready for Friday without making any effort…..
